What a Weird Blog Title!

Reading the title of this new Blog, I am sure that people will be contemplating my sanity!  Well actually, they should be contemplating my age because in this specific instance, those people reading who are north of 50 years of age will instantly recognise the title and in this case perhaps, its relevance.
Book 'em Danno was a statement used very frequently in the incredibly popular TV series, Hawaii Five-O, which ran from 1968 to 1980 and became the longest running police drama in American TV history.  That's some record and in our day was classed as essential viewing!
What is it to do with us?  Well on 4th October, we head off for yet another "Trip of a Lifetime" which in this case will take in America's 50th State - Hawaii!
We are very excited about this particular trip because it's extremely varied and will hopefully allow us to complete things that have been included on our own personal "Bucket List" for many years , most notably of course Hawaii but also the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta and a drive across Death Valley.  There are lots of other things in between which I will cover during the course of the next month and hopefully, I may write something that is interesting and informative, maybe even educational and on a rare occasion, a touch amusing.  Nobody is forced to read it and if like me you are more interested in pictures not words, then I will try and include plenty of these.
With everything that is happening in the UK aviation industry at the moment, you almost think that it might be better to stay at home than venture overseas and whilst our normal jaunts away from home usually only include flights with British Airways, on this occasion we are taking additional flights with three other airlines!  Now where is that travel insurance documentation?
Probably the most unusual aspect of this holiday is the planning that has gone into it.  I am not hot on planning and logistics...Linda is!  However, I have taken on the challenge and produced a copious document with accompanying Excel spreadsheet of which any Project Manager would be proud.  Whether or not all the pieces will fall into place during our month away, we shall see?  Perhaps it might be that all the pieces will simply fall...!

A Work of Art?  Time Will Tell...
