It Was All Going So Well!!

Unusually for me, this will be quite a short post, primarily because I am going to add a good few photos from today's attendance at the Balloon Fiesta, using these rather than words to continue to tell the story of our trip to Albuquerque.  The second is because we are both extremely tired and want to get to bed very early tonight in anticipation of our 440 mile drive to Denver tomorrow.
The drive would normally be pretty easy but tomorrow has had a little complication thrown in and that is some predicted very heavy snow for Denver and the surrounding high mountains!  When I say heavy, they are predicting between 6"and 12" in places and having checked tonight's forecast, it does appear that this might slightly affect our journey!
I have to say that I am not too worried at this juncture because I have always believed in dealing with a problem when it happens and not before.  It's an approach that has served me well through life and I hope will continue to do so tomorrow.  At least we have a four wheel drive hire car although with it being brilliant white, driving into a deep drift might make us difficult to find!!  Keep the humour going I say!
Anyway, we leave Albuquerque with some amazing memories.  The Balloon Fiesta has exceeded our expectations in every possible way and despite the two mornings being far colder than we ever expected, we are hoping that the frostbite can be dealt with by the NHS when we get home.  The suffering was worth it although if we ever return, long johns, a woolly hat and a pair of gloves will be in the suitcase.
Whilst I have only posted photographs on my Blog, I have uploaded some videos on my Instagram account and you can have a look at these by clicking on the following link - https://www.instagram.com/alistaircoy/  I hope that it works!
Fingers crossed that we make it to Denver because we are due to fly to Los Angeles on Tuesday morning and then on to Hawaii.  I'm not sure that I can take all this excitement!
